BRO-TOX (Anti-Wrinkle) Treatments

As we age, collagen production and skin elasticity are reduced, resulting in deep wrinkles and fine lines forming throughout the upper and lower part of the face. Anti-wrinkle treatment involves the injection of Botulinum Toxin medication into the muscle of a targeted area, resulting in a reduction of wrinkles in the face. This effect is achieved by blocking nerve signals to the injected muscle(s) which allows the muscle to temporarily relax and stops it from contracting. Although typically used to treat already existing wrinkles, anti-wrinkle treatment is also beneficial as a preventative measure to reduce the severity of wrinkle lines as we get older. As well as its application in treating wrinkles and fine lines, Botulinum Toxin is also used to reduce excessive sweating - most commonly in the under-arm area.

Anti-wrinkle treatment is a quick procedure, with very fine needles used for each injection making downtime and pain minimal. Local anaesthetic numbing cream can be applied to the skin prior to treatment if requested.
